This weekend, we celebrated the end of a great season at our 2010 Awards Banquet. And now we move forward to 2011 and a great opportunity for further success.

Congratulations to Michael Poulin, 2010 Spartan of the Year and to Jamie Fortier for receiving the Director’s Award.

This fall

The Spartans will be attending multiple marching band events in Mass, NH and Maine over the next 8 weeks and will culminate the end of our recruiting season with the 2011 Open House to be held on Sunday November 21, 2010 at the Boys Club in Nashua. To our alumni

The age-out class of 2010 is now part of our proud alumni base. To all of our alumni and friends, we will need your help with cooking, sewing, planning, fund-raising, etc. Please contact our staff and let us know how you can help. We want to start developing our volunteer base for the upcoming 2011 season. As the corps grows we need your helping hands!

Update from DCI Finals

Goals, dreams, and a medal! The corps has just completed a fantastic run at DCI Open Class World Championships and once again has brought home another medal, this time bronze, representing the hard work and dedication of our members and staff.

Congratulations, colorguard

Our outstanding guard won Best Colorguard with a score of 19.8! This is a huge achievement and we need to recognize and thank the colorguard members and staff for adding so much to the corps.

Congratulations, Lennie Machado

Spartans colorguard designer Lennie Machado has now won eight guard titles: 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Lennie’s run of 7 consecutive, 8 overall colorguard titles is historic and unmatched in Open Class drum corps. We are very proud of him for this great acheivment. Great job Lennie!

DCI week… we made it! The corps is now at DCI Championships. The goals for the season have been to excel as a re-emerging corps and to establish a level of excellence that is truly Spartan. We are well on our way to acheiving this goal. Accomplishing a great conclusion to the end of our competitve season is now in the hands of our members.

2010 Tour Update

2010 tour has been outstanding so far. We’ve had great weather and great housing locations. We’ve witnessed fantastic growth in the corps, as a group and as individuals.

Our performances have been getting better each time and the expectation from the fans and judges has been “to keep pushing forward and make it great.”

Special thanks to our support crew, our teaching staff, and our members for a wonderful time.

As we approach our focus shows in Belding and Dayton, we look forward to the support and continued help from all of our families and friends at home.
